Fall Activity Inspo - Winery Hop (Click to see more)
Traditionally, I’ve always gone to the Johnson’s Farm every season to do anything fall related. Although it’s filled with heavenly apple cider donuts, hayrides and savory food trucks, it’s definitely more family friendly. My friends and I wanted to try something different this year, so we grabbed our boyfriends and decided to venture to a winery instead. Although we didn’t end up picking apples or carving pumpkins, we tried more wines than we could count in the most perfect settings.
We began our day at Laurita Winery where we tasted 6 different blends, as well as a chocolate desert wine before selecting our favorite bottles to purchase. Laurita is an absolutely beautiful place with stunning views of their acres of vineyards. They usually have food truck events most weekends in the fall, but unbeknownst to us this Saturday was different as there was a wedding party that rented out the entire space starting at 4 PM. Since we weren’t ready to stop the fun, we found another winery only 10 minutes away called Cream Ridge last minute.
Cream Ridge is open until 6 PM every Saturday and was very easy to get to, so our winery day quickly turned into an impromptu winery hop. Cream Ridge is definitely a much more cozy winery with a cute and quaint atmosphere. They have $5 for 10 types of wine tasting, as well as multiple little seating areas both in and outside. It was nice to compare both a small and large winery in addition to all of the various kinds of blends.
