*LBI Spotlight* - Girls Weekend (Click to see more)
Weekend getaways are the perfect R&R, especially if it’s with all of your closest girl friends. There’s nothing better than being surrounded by the people who bring out the best in you, and this weekend was just that. My group of best friends and I all live miles away from each other, so we try to capitalize on the weekends as much as possible. Since my friend Ava's birthday is at the end of August, it was the perfect excuse for a celebratory weekend away. So all of us girls over-packed our weekender bags and headed to Long Beach Island, NJ.
We spent Friday night at the local bar Nardi’s, a place that not only has live music but their their very own free pink school bus shuttle service as well. My friends and I utilized this as transportation to get back and forth from where we were staying safely. On Saturday the weather was absolutely amazing, so we laid on the beach all morning and afternoon. Although the day was spent by the waves, we obviously took breaks to brunch and re-mimosa up at the nearby sand bar.
At night, we went to Blue Water Cafe, a popular seafood restaurant right in Beach Haven. I highly suggest requesting to sit out on the patio, even though the restaurant does have both indoor and outdoor sections. Just make sure to stop and get wine on the way, as this place is a BYOB. Blue Water Cafe does not take reservations, but they do have a menu full of fresh seafood options. The surf & turf special looked so scrumptious that more than half of us ended up having matching dinner selections. Of course there are many other awesome places to go to in LBI, but with so little time these these were great choices.
